The Importance of Absorption
Mr. James tells the story of Stephen Elliot, a young man who was murdered by his cousin Steve Anelia in 1812. The victim's heart is said to have been removed from him and mingled with some red wine before being burned away. It has one of the creepiest Slow-burn atmospheres of all the mr. James stories so I thought maybe you'll enjoy that as much as this one.
