Is Complex Pleural Effluent Different From Ammonia?
A complex pleural effusion differs from an empaima only in the sense that there is like visible gross pus. Complex is a whole different thing that means it's loculated. And so a complicated effusion is already infected. It just becomes em paima in that there's pus. The difference is maybe your antibiotics are going to be prolonged.
