The Difference Between Positive and Negative Freedom

Isaiah berlin was trying to draw between these two types of freedom. Negative liberty is described as simply the area within which a man can act unobstructed by others. Positive freedom means you have the ability to do it, he says. But what does it really mean to be autonomous like that, or to self rule? We may have no idea what the right answers are but every question has a single correct answer.
