Rachel albert is an assistant professor of psychology at lebanon valley college in Pennsylvania. She studies infant language development and says babbles have a certain genese. When babies babble, theyre indicating that they're either in a heightened state of arousal or by actually babbling, they're putting themselves in kind of this optimal state to learn.
