The Ethics of Understanding Animals With AI

I can imagine a lot of people would absolutely love this to be able to understand what their dog might be saying or thinking. But that being said, there are some ethical questions to consider. For example, do we have the right to eavesdrop on animals without their consent? Or even worse, what if they're complaining about us or plotting a revolution? Do we even want to know?
