Women are socialized to create hierarchies in our brains and then put ourselves at the bottom of the hierarchy itself. So yeah, what if the people we think are mentors, it's just as a thought experiment or in fact, just colleagues who are supporting us? How differently do we relate to them if we come from that place? Yeah. I think there's something beautiful about the concept of a mentor is that it is someone who is invested in your well being in your success for kind of no particular reason really,. And not because they need you to succeed, not because they're necessarily going to get something out of it.
