The late 90s were like such a charged time because you had progress. And every time there's progress with the queer community, just like a lot of other movements, it's like the straights catch wind and then they're pissed off. We went almost 15 years without another shooting or bombing or fatal arson at a queer club. So this was a space where people went to to live their true lives.
