Inheduana's Story of Gilgamesh

It's fascinating that literary works that old are still around. Gilgamesh wants eternal life, but finds that the gods have kept it for themselves. That was the kind of material that inheduana had to draw upon. Inheduana is just a first person that we know about who was part of that endless, endless process of remembering and recording those stories which eventually blead into history itself.
