In 18 hundreds, there was a massive chicken bubble driven by thi victorian fashion for having chickens. It gave the raw materials for research to charles darwin when he was starting to think about evolution. So suddenly he was surrounded by all these wild chickens that had been brought in from indonesia or asia and he was able to breed them with domestic chickens in europe so they must be related. Even though they're from opposite sides of the world. There's a link here. And that was one of the foundational pieces of research to his theory of evolution that came out a few years later.
