containers take too long to shut down and start up so then you got a whole bunch of things that are just sitting there waiting to be helpful at peak but largely sitting idle the rest of the time. So we thought all right what if we can figure out a way to shut those containers down when they're not being used and then start them up again right when requests come in? The surprising result of our investigation was web assembly which sits in the web browser actually a really good model for the cloud.
