Any response to energy stewardship is going to have to be more sensitive to how the nonhuman interacts with the human. And you would see something like energy extraction as not just superior humans taking the inorganic material for their superior needs, but actually a kind of systemic breakdown that ends up harming both the materiality of something like the mine and the materialities of the human that's doing it.
