Tom's Footprints
Tom led investigators through a heavily wooded area to where he had discarded the winchester rifle that killed julio. They had to go on foot tracking through thick vegetation as they followed the kolawash river up stream. After ten hours of harking, tom eventually stopped and remarked, there it is. There's my rifle. Tom said he'd thrown a plastic bag that contained about 11 bullets into the underbrush near by but they were unable to find it. Detectives did recover a sleeping bag that almost looked like it had been shreaded due to being dragged through the rough terrain. The pair believed to be cantres, tailed them, as detailed in the book
