Introduction

The past few years have seen major disruptions in the world of work, and one result is this growing gap between how managers and employees think about productivity. Microsoft's most recent study on hybrid work showed a huge disparity where 87% of employees report that they're productive at work. But 85% of leaders say it's hard to know whether their employees are being productive in a hybrid work environment. APQC surveyed nearly a thousand knowledge workers about what makes them more and less productive.
