The Loyal Order of the Ancient Shepherds

David Ike got his first DJ gig through something called the loyal order of shepherds. It's one of those like fraternal societies that sort of like morphed into an insurance company. There are a bunch of parallels in the US, such as the woodsman which eventually just became an insurance firm. A lot of early versions of unions were basically like insurance for poor people where they were like, if you join us and pay some dues, like we'll actually bury you.
