In 2009, there was like no jobs to be had in Silicon Valley. So I basically started going to the bar at the Rosewood and trying to find a job. And so I met this guy, Richard Ling, who was a partner at a VC firm called Rembrand. And we became good friends; he told me about his portfolio company Rapleaf. It's subsequently got spun out as a public company that, you know, still trades today.
