The History of Science School

One school of thought is the History of Science School, exemplified by Otto Neuigabauer. They look at Mesopotamian clay tablets and Egyptian manuscripts from point of view of exact sciences such as mathematically precise astronomy. The Diffusionist School has taken a traditional approach to classics with an emphasis on accurate dating. And they have concluded that many elements in Greek culture were the product of Near Eastern influence.
