Is There a Need for Movies Like This?

In March of 1995 two teens left an Oklahoma motel after watching natural born killers and went on a shooting spree taking pieces of the victims clothing as trophies. Two years later another student from a Kentucky high school returned to class with multiple weapons unleashing a fury of gunfire while referencing the very same movie. There's obviously something that the person watched the movie that they are idealizing or that they're excited about or they think that hey that could be me. I look at it more as like not the why they do it but a blueprint for their crime.
