monkeys fell out during the production of an album by their old friend harry nelson. The two didn't speak to each other for a decade before they started talking again. Their former band mate nesmith is regarded as one of the great pioneers of country rock and he had some minor hits with them like joann she was his early 70s records didn't sell in huge numbers but they got a great deal of critical respect and stand up very well to this day.
