Serbia and the Ottoman Empire

In 1833, Serbia received full autonomy in a more territory as a result of an agreement reached with the Ottomans under Russian pressure. In response, Albanian leaders formed the League of Prisran on June 1878,. They were calling this a greater Albania. Kosovo remained in Ottoman hands until the Russian Turkish war, which Russia wins. So Russia imposed the Treaty of San Stefano and assigned parts of what is now Kosovo to Serbia and Montenegro.
