The Importance of My Own Nuclei in Muscle Biopsies

In muscle fiber myofibers are multi nucleated and we've known that for, you know, that's a one of the cool things about muscle I guess it's because it's such a large cell fiber. Each fiber of those 572 my muscle biopsies would have more than one nucleus. So they're stuck in this G zero phase of the cell cycle so they exit the cell cycle after development they stuck in G zero. And what we found when we did that study is that myuclei were replicating their DNA. That goes against the dogma that they're stuck on this non-mitotic state.
