In the late 19 fifties, with forced collectivization and the great leap forward, a lot of people resisted this whole idea of sharing their agricultural assets with their neighbors. They too weren't so keen to eat this sandwich, this whole communal pot idea, as we'll see. As soon as one army passed through and stripped the farmers of all their s, another opposing army would grab whatever remained. The scale of fighting that goes on in the countryside will come to destroy the whole agricultural interastructure.
