Paola's hospital has 1,000 beds and two-thirds of them are occupied by COVID patients. Many people prefer not taking them to the hospital because they want to be with their families. Paola said her hospital became quickly overwhelmed with a shortage of beds for very ill patients. Lots of health workers are suffering mental problems because of it., she says.
