I think one answer seems to be that people have not looked as hard. People are finding new species of solicibon containing mushrooms. There wis even evidence of traditional use of siliciben containing mushrooms in ugonda. It's going to present a more challenging case for these neochaments to claim that it was always used as a hallucinogenic by the indigenous peoples who lived on the cor reef.
