How Chimpanzees React to Mirrors

Chimps were able to reach for the red dot on themselves when they saw it in the mirror. But monkeys did not do the same. This would seem to indicate that the chimpanzees had the ability to learn overtime that the animal they're seeing in the mirror is themself, while the monkeys don't usually have this capacity.
