The Rise and Fall of Mahmoud
Mahmoud used flowing white robes, leading the subjects of his investigation to believe that he was a wealthy Middle Eastern shake. He bought these robes for £10, the equivalent of €20 or so, behind an Islamic bookstore in Birmingham just hours before his first undercover operation. But surprisingly, one of his most famous undercover stings, his investigations, was on Pakistani cricket players. Mahmoud had received information that some of the Pakistani cricket team were accepting money to fix matches.
