Vector Art and Its Advantages
vector art tends to be more mathematically based than raster. If you're doing a circle then you can specify the coordinate of the center and the radius which makes it better for resizing. pixel width is effectively mute in a vector so no matter how far you zoom in it's always perfectly crisp. Also another interesting thing about SVG is that it's kind of like the DOM in the sense that it can be manipulated from JavaScript.
