Lovecraft's Sathogua in Call of Cthulhu

HPL. Lovecraft also made passing references in At the Mountains of Madness and The Shadow Out of Time. His main use of Sathogua came in his collaborations and revisions, though. Big one is The Mound, where the men of Kinyan discover the history of Sithogua's worship by the serpent people. They are so appalled by what they discover that they destroy all their images of Sathogsu.
