The RRS David Asenborough is currently docked in the Falkland Islands for a resupply. Emma Boland from the British Antarctic Survey specializes in modelling the Antarctic Ocean to see how changes in salinity and carbon dioxide are affecting water around the south pole. She takes much of her data from research vessels such as the Sir David Asenborb, but this collected data is behind the forefront of science policy.
