What Is the Tabernacle?
Sumerian king Gudaya of Lagash did something similar around 2,200 BCE as did the Eucharitic gods to honor the god Baal. The tabernacle is a mini-version of that divine abode, built in six stages, followed by rest. In Psalms 80 verse 1 and 99 verse 1, this arc of the covenant is thought of as the footstool for God's throne.
