Delta's Earnings Were Better Than Expected

Delta's earnings were better than expected. Stronger international demand and cheaper fuel boosted the bottom line. CEO Ed Bastian said he thinks we are only in the middle innings of a travel surge. United and American soon will report similarly strong results, but somewhat different because of their ratio of domestic and international flying.
