How to Translate Design Goals in Mathematical Language

The idea of how do you start with a design goal, and then what go through a series of steps to achieve that goal. And that question was the thing that inspired this book. In engineering, very often, the first step in that process is to figure out how to describe our problem in mathematical language. So something if we can describe the field and the problem and the constraints in the language of mathematics, then we can use the tools of math to solve the equations.
