Aquinas's Analogies Between God and the World

Aquinas gives an analogy between God and an artist. As an artist is to the artwork, so God is to the world. That's the general analogy that sets the big picture for Aquinas. But it's worth pausing on just one thing because when we consider the knowledge of God and the world, we don't want to get into the position of saying that God's knowledge depends on the world.
