The owner's manual does say to leave the car plugged in when not in use. I would suggest keeping it at 80 % charge or less, or at least maybe not below 50%. If you are going to leave it for a while plugged in, if it's not at home, like, for instance, i am fortunate enough at the long term parking garage at the san francisco airport,.
