New York as a City

New York is one of the greatest cities in the world, if not the greatest. But as manufacturing shifted away from new york, its importance also declined. It reinvented itself in two, three different ways and still remained a fashion rind. detroit is another example of a city which was a big manufacturing hub but then failed to reinvent itself. And er instead of becoming smaller it became bigger.
