Are You Referring to the That There Are Two Biological Sexes?
There's a disproportionate number of male engineers and female nurses in al scandinavian countries. The difference isn't that big at the mean, but it's huge at the extremes. As pinker says, the number one predictor of a violence is maleness. It does very much look like a difference in interest, rather than ability, that's driving these sex differences in occupation.
