Working Less Than Full Time in Surgery
In other specialties there had been some changes, but surgeries remain static at about 7% of people working less than full time in surgical training posts. So we did hear of quite a negative culture around less than full-time working so perceptions that people who work less thanFull Time were less dedicated or less committed to their career. We heard that conversations offer a bit like how am I going to fill your slot rather than actually how am I an amended working pattern work best for that individual.
