We have organelles or certain cellular components that do perceive UV as something, but don't really tell our brain or our nervous system about it. We can detect the heat that corresponds with the light from the sun. And that kind of would be infrared. But we're feeling that as heat. That's what you mean. You know, that conscious detection. Right? So yes, obviously UV light has its effects on the body. Like you said, the steroids within the skin, it changes them chemically and begins the process of vitamin D synthesis. It stimulates the melanocytes to produce melanin, which is like an umbrella for the cells. Oh, sunscreen. UV damage to the DNA
