How Do You Make Sure That Your Book Can Be Marketable to a Wide Audience?

I think scholars from the global south often have a more difficult task to make their voices heard in that sense. I try to use specific contexts to enter broader debates, and for me the situation in South Africa and Kenya are in this book is an entry point into broader discussions around media democracy. So there's always the demand, you know, that work in the global south is located where it’s almost the location lists of other fields. And so we're always called upon to make that specificity. The ethics of listening for instance is trying to engage with ethics theory, but do that using examples from the South African and other contexts.
