Back in those days, you had banks like manufacturers hanover trust and chemical bank. Bankers trust was probably the biggest bank in foreign exchange in the nineties ia lookt they were huge. Voice trading now is virtually obsolete. There's not even any proprietary desk left,. So all the trading as gone to algarithmic, confusely, algarithic trading. The banks now are basitly brokers. They're taki execution orders from their clients. And the brokers now on, particularly on foreign exchange forwards. Even to a large extent, bonds have gone on to electronic trade in platforms like e b s.
