The Emissions Trading Scheme Price Is Now at 50 Dollars a Ton
We brought in a what we call a feebate scheme for vehicles recently. The idea is that the less efficient your vehicle is, the higher the price. If you wanted the emissions trading scheme price to achieve the same outcome, it would have to be something like five dollars a ton. And if it was 500 dollars a ton, we would have mass if problems and other parts of the economy. You canna need those, those two ins to sort of work hand and glove, because you also want to use e price to get change happening right across the economy as fast as you can.
