When You're Kids a Little, Your Job Is to Keep Them From Dying

When you're raising a kid, in some ways the goal is to keep them from dying. And so there's a sort of a corollary of that in my mind which is, it's so thrilling when your kid reaches a milestone. I had no interest in kids as a project; i am utterly incurious about children. Like tearingat crawling was really fast. It's like tedlesss. It's the hope that kills you. You think, i'll all be able to keep up with this and you can't.
