There are all of these organizations that are actually trying to tear the fabric of this nation apart. The Proud Boys tried to meet at like a local dive bar in my community and the way that that got stopped, right? It was by my community coming together and not allowing it. And there's more work to be done in terms of our strategy to build power and bring people together.

Alicia Garza is an American Civil Rights organizer and writer best known for co-creating the international Black Lives Matter movement. Garza has become one of the most influential voices on the planet in a movement centered around the liberation of black people from authoritative systemic violence.
