Military sources tell CNN that US officials knew ahead of time that a Chinese balloon was about to enter US airspace. A day beforehand, Defense Department sent out an internal report known as a tipper through classified channels. Now, it's become a political flashpoint with some Republicans who are criticizing the Biden administration. Meantime, US intelligence insisting that China did intend to use the balloon for spying.
