Aircraft Engines on Liquid Hydrogen

Airbus has said that hydrogen is an important technology pathway to achieve its ambitions of bringing a zero-emission commercial aircraft to market by 2035. Redhydrogen has just 25% of the volumetric energy density of kerosene. Replacing the maximum takeoff fuel load for a long-haul aircraft would require more space than the entire swept volume of its fuselage unless you completely redesign it from the ground up.
