I love a joke being rejected. That comes from the advertising day where you can spend all day high-fiving your art director. I was getting out of work at six p.m. in Fulham and driving to Manchester to do 20 minutes for no money just to feel the hit. Great, great training for stand-up. If you're a stand-up that is wedded to your joke, regardless of laughter incoming, you will not progress. So laughter is the creative director and I'm able to very, very quickly go. This is probably hilarious moment to reveal that I've been married to a copywriter for 25 years. It's probably quite hard to criticize. Nobody
