Guinness Book of World Records says tarsiers can turn their heads nearly 180 degrees in either direction. But two different sloths have broken the seven cervical vertebrae barrier independently and in opposite direction. The elongated neck of the genus Bratypus possesses eight to 10 cervical vertebraes, but not a three tote sloth. Why do sloths hang then? Do either of you guys happen to know offhand?
