The Importance of the Popular Vote
From the national perspective, there's no such thing as the popular vote. This is something that the news agency's report and it's imperfectly ascertained because we don't have a federal agency figuring that out. So what's the point of the popular vote at all then? Is it just kind of like a poll of, well, what do you think? But it's not going to count. A simple majority of that number wins you the presidency.
