Video is useful a because it can give you insight into what problemis going on. And lately i've been using a lot of slomo video with my students. I would think about your adition a is your adition going to be behind a screen, or are they going to see you? Start with audio, and then if you can't figure out a problem affixed to a problem, then take video to give yourself more ideas on what could fix it. If one of these other methods, this is why i was talking experimenting with variations of self recording, something might work really well for you.
