The Second Circuit Court of Appeals Ruled That the Billionaire Sacklers Can Be Shielded Against Future Opioid Lawsuits
The Second Circuit Court of Appeals has found that the billionaire Sacklers can be shielded against future opioid lawsuits. This clears the way for a settlement of thousands of legal claims where the Sacklers will pay $6 billion, about half of their fortune and give up ownership of Purdue. Jack Schlossberg: There is a problem with whether or not third-party releases will become common bankruptcies.
