The History of the Anti-Nazi Movie Industry
Every major movie studio in the 1930s had an office in Germany. There were no other except for the great dictator anti-Nazi movies before World War II. All of the studios were too chicken shit to give up German revenue because they wanted to get all of the money they possibly could. As soon as that line of revenue was cut off by the actual involvement in World War II, Hollywood became a propaganda machine.
